Dear Family and Friends

Our beautiful Ray is finally at peace.

He slipped away today around 12.30pm while we were all sitting outside on the decking enjoying the sunshine.

We are all in agreement he is the most peaceful he has looked for some time.

Love to you all
Marg, Tahnee, Marli & Sheila

Dear Marg, Tahnee, Marli and Sheila.

What a sad, but lovely, day. He was a very special man and it has been inspirational to follow his journey over these past few years. I will always remember Ray as my special friend at college. I was so young, but he treated me with respect and seemed to enjoy my company as much as I enjoyed his. We laughed a lot. I am praying for you all right now, and will continue to uphold you in prayer over the coming weeks. I'm so glad he is now happy and at peace with our wonderful God.

Much love,

Alison Carr

Marg, Andrew, Tahnee,Marli, & Sheila

Thank-you for sharing your journey with Ray. You have been so courageous, and an inspiration.
We too remember Ray, & Andrew, especially when they were in College with Alison. I think Alison's first car was purchased from Ray. (if my memory is correct)
Ray was faithful in stepping out & trusting, & serving, despite obstacles.
The valley you are walking through is difficult, and we uphold you with our love & prayers to 'The God of all Comfort' who gave himself for us.

Tony and I felt very sad when we read this Blog this morning, but also happy that Ray is finally at rest. what a lovely way to pass sitting in the sunshine. The sun is shining here in Blackpool this morning. Thinking of you all blessings and fond thoughts at having met Ray and knowing your family only for a short time.

Dear Marg, Andrew, Tahnee, Marli, and Sheila.
I am sending you all love and light at this very sad time.
How brave you all are, and how lucky Ray was to have a beautiful supportive family like you. How lucky we all are to have had such a remarkable man, Ray, in our lives.
Ray was a wonderful support to me in my early teens at high school, and his kindness and care has always stayed with me. What a beautiful gentle soul. Now at peace.
All my love to you all. I am thinking of you. You have the most wonderful Guardian Angel now.....he will never be far away.

Marg, Andrew, Tahnee, Marli and Sheila,
Our family's prayers are with you all. We were just two of the hundreds of students at MRC whom Ray inspired, guided and comforted in times of need, shared fun times and laughter with. To us he was not only a respected member of the school faculty but was considered a friend to all students. Never did he judge, and he always treated each individual with the same amount of love and respect they deserved. His door was always open so to speak. I think that's why many felt so comfortable in having him as their confidant.
We feel honoured to have known such a great man.
Our love to you all,
Erin and Steve Aston

Words cannot express the way you all must be feeling right now upon Ray's passing. He was definitely the optimist, which I could only imagine how he would have been in his last years. He influenced so many lives, many more than he would have known and I for one wouldn't be here today if it hadn't been for Ray's guidance and support. Every student who seeked him out was never turned away or disrespected in any way, shape or form, and it is this that he'll never be forgotten.

It is with this sadness that my daughter Loretta and I send you our sincerest condolences.

Forever in our hearts,
Aaron and Loretta Young.
